There is a reason marijuana (weed) hasn't been legalized across the country and it's because there are too many dogs whose livelihoods depend on catching stoners high in parks or in airports.
During a debate over a legalization initiative, Minnesota State Sen. John Jasinski, argues that if weed is legalized, police departments will have to "retire" the drug dogs they've spent thousands and thousands of dollars to train.
We know the main reason weed hasn't been legalized is the for-profit prison system which depends on arrests of "drug" users, but that isn't the point Sen. John Jasinski is making. He's making a slightly less evil, but entirely dumber point.
